The series "AiTopia" is based on a critical analysis of the impact of technology and digitalisation on the identity of the individual, mainly in the form of facial recognition software and AI. The ubiquitous technology that influences our lives in many ways, from social media to security technologies, raises questions about privacy and the definition of identity. In the series, I work with the concept of "dazzle make-up", developed in the 1910s as a means to protect oneself from recognition by algorithms through irregular patterns and colours on the face.
